✔️ How does Ovel TS 1.5% Eye Drops 5ml work?

Ovel TS is an antibiotic that treats bacterial eye infections by preventing bacteria from dividing and repairing. It inhibits the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA gyrase.

✔️ Quick Suggestions:

Complete the full course of treatment.
Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (near the nose) for about 1 minute after instilling the medication.

✔️ Pharmacology

Levofloxacin inhibits bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase, essential enzymes for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. It is effective against a broad range of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.

✔️ Dosage & Administration:

Adults and Children (6 years and older):

Days 1-3: Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 30 minutes to 2 hours while awake, and 4-6 hours after retiring.
Day 4 through completion: Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 1-4 hours while awake.

QT Interval Prolongation: Additive effects with class IA (e.g., quinidine, procainamide) or class III (amiodarone, sotalol) antiarrhythmics, fluoxetine, or imipramine.
Reduced Absorption: With sucralfate, didanosine, antacids containing Mg or Al, and dietary supplements containing Zn, Ca, Mg, or Fe.
Altered Glucose Levels: With antidiabetic agents (e.g., insulin, glibenclamide).
Increased Risk of Tendon Disorders: With corticosteroids.
Increased CNS Stimulation and Seizures: With NSAIDs.
Increased Prothrombin Time: With warfarin.
